Problem with Linkback?

My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Hi all -

First of all, I have to say that I LOVE using this newer (2.4.1) version - I remember using a very very old version where all the changes I wanted I had to parse out manually. Almost everything I've wanted to do I've been able to do through widgets. Since I don't really know PHP this has made my life tons, tons easier. So many, many thanks.

Anyway, now for the problem: If you go to this post: http://www.ickfeh.com/blog/blog1.php/2008/05/07/hillary-from-star-to-stalker you'll see that when you click on the trackback url, it says there isn't a permanent url. Obviously, I want people to be able to use trackbacks. So, any advice? TIA!

Have you tried checking the following ...
In the Admin, goto Blog Settings, Feature tab and check the box ...

Trackbacks:
Allow other bloggers to send trackbacks to this blog, letting you know when they refer to it. This will also let you send trackbacks to other blogs.

Trackback urls are used when you make a post that you want to trackback to ;)

OK - maybe I'm being really dense - it's entirely plausible ;) but isn't that where other people are supposed to get the link to figure out how to link to me/my post?? And isn't it a problem if they get that there is no permanent address?

When they copy that link and put it in the trackback box on their post screen it'll work ;)
