My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Hi all,

I've been using b2Evolution for about 2 weeks now. I'm using the glossyblue skin and I would like to modify the look to change the logo in the header and make it go to my main website. For testing I'm running the blog locally on a win XP server, but the public blog runs on a FreeBSD server.

When I try to edit the style.css in the skins/glossyblue folder I found that no changes there make any difference. I can even remove the css file entirely and it makes no difference! The docs on editing skins talk about _main.php file - renamed to main.tpl.php in 2.0 . Neither file is anywhere in the blog folder structure on either my local server or my public server.

You can see my blog at http://www.buildautomator.com/blog - the image I want to replace is the round square image with the pencil up in the top left corner. I would also like to be able to make it a link to my main website http://www.buildautomator.com and even perhaps set the main title to be a link back to the site as well.

Any help would be most appreciated:)

I could think of sth else, but in this case you are obviously making sth wrong , double, triple, quarter check, and if you can still not find out, post your directory screenshot etc, i dont know

Hi,

If I rename the file on the server, the blog shows up unstyled as it should. If I do this on my local server, it just shows up as it was. I need to dig into this, never seen this before (been doing html/php and css for the past decade<g>) Hmm.... Wondering if it's pulling this from the remote server somehow via a fixed url somewhere... Thanks for the reply:)

Hi,

I have verified that my local version is somehow pulling the css file from the web server. I.e. instead of http://localhost/.../style.css it uses http://www.buildautomator.com/... style.css so no wonder it didn't change when I changed the local style shee<bg> Now I know and can start messing with this:)
