That is what I have ended up doing, but now I have to copy and paste HTML in five or six different skins. I wish there was a way to modify the widget.

afaik, EdB's Widget Manager does that kind of job, duplicates the widget layout of a blog to another, but dont know if also duplicates the setting or content of those widgets, you may want to try or dig under.cheers

the widget manager copies widgets (everything) from blog "x" to blog "y".
It works great. it literally takes a copy of your widgets from blog x to blog y.

On the drawing board there is "copy this widget to one or all other blogs" so that you don't lose a widget that might be wanted elsewhere. Just sayin ;)
The best option for you would be to use an html widget to insert a "section" on the right side with all your RSS feed options.
Then edit your index.main.php and remove the rss links from there. Most of the skins on b2evo 2.x have the option to remove the "RSS" links from within the skin/widget setttings.
