My b2evolution Version: 2.x

I installed B2 and have been created blogs and it works fine. So far so good. But one thing doesn't make sense to me.

I'm allowing users to register themselves and the default group is "Bloggers". But after activating their account via email, they can't post anything. Then I have to go under "user perm" and make them "member". This manual process doesn't make sense to me. This will be a turn off to users; They want to start blogging right away.

What should I do. Also, what user level is common for a blogger?
