My b2evolution Version: 1.10.x

There are a lot of links in my blog posts and I'd like them to be active when users get their email notifications. Right now, all of the tags are showing in the emails that are sent and nothing's clickable. Are there any hacks around to render email notifications as HTML? Looked to see if there was a choice a user could make to receive email as .html but haven't found it.
