My b2evolution Version: Not Entered
Greetings,
Apologies if I am referring to a known issue...I'm new to this particular blogging software and unfortunaly, I'm restricted to v 0.9.0.8 at present (as the only version supported by my ISP)
I've just completed conversion of our blog: www.bandannaclub.com/b2blog and all is well...except when I submit a new entry, I get the following error when pinging b2evolution:-
Pinging b2evolution.net...
Remote error: Unknown method (1)
...is this because of the old version I'm running?
any and all informed help appreciated.

Most likely yes, and I do not believe that your host can not handle 1.10.3 or 2.4.2. It is possible that your host doesn't automagically install anything newer, and that they personally will not help you with issues with a newer version, but certainly there is nothing I can imagine that would make a newer (meaning: not obsolete) version run.
IF your host is actually so crappy that you can not run a current version of this (or any other) open source app you really need to find a new host.
One way or another, you REALLY need to upgrade your blog engine. Sorry, but you will find support for the 0.* generation to be non-existent.
