My b2evolution Version: 1.10.x

This is a new install on CentOS, b2evolution 2.4.2.

After running the install script, and b2evolution has successfully created its tables in the db, the admin user is unable to log in:

Either you have not enabled cookies or this login window has expired.

This happens with a couple of browsers, and I've reinstalled a couple of times to make sure no typos or anything.

Only a few hits on google for that error string. Can someone point me to where to look? I'm quite experienced with CentOS and MySQL, but very new with php.

Thanks!

Ok, I was trying to be clever by pulling the contents of the b2evolution/blogs directory out and plopping those into the webroot so that the URLs would look like:

http://www.example.com/

instead of:

http://www.example.com/blogs/

I believe I actually did this with an older version of b2evolution some time back, but it doesn't work now.

Anyway, I achieved the desired result by putting the whole tree into the webroot, and then added 'b2evolution/blogs' to the webroot path, and voila!

Erm, hope this makes sense if the next person comes along with the same problem....

hi john, and welcome to the forums.. and thanks for the feedback..and just for information.. the instance name in the ../conf/advanced.php might have caused this problem..

$instance_name = 'b2evo';

you are strongly advised to change this to something unique right after the installation
