My b2evolution Version: 2.x

So one of my buddies wrote a post on our site and it's showing as published in the backend but for some reason it won't show up on any of the blogs. The links when clicked just go to a blank post saying "Sorry, nothing to see here..."

The link is

[removed]

I've disabled the spam filtering cause I thought some of the words in his post are triggering it and I've disabled the anti-spam plugin and it still won't show. No idea why it won't show.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey really nice of you to comment out the linkback to b2evolution and replace it with a linkback to some stupid crap you decided to pretend is powering your blog.

Never fails to amaze me. People get free software then remove the crediting link then ask for free help with the free software. Why don't you ask mosso to fix your stupid little problems?

* If I could edit your profile I would remove the URL from it so that this free software gives you as much link-love as you give it. I can't, but I can edit your posts.

Alright, I frakked up and I forgot to readd that. I had removed it temporarily while designing my skin because I couldn't make it look the way I wanted. I've readded the link and all I can say is I'm sorry. I never meant to make it seem like I was taking advantage of the software and not giving any credit to the creators.

I frakked up and all I can say is I'm sorry and work to show that I do appreciate the work everyone has put into this software. I completely understand why everyone is upset and why you have voted me down and removed my link.

As for this post, it's started working for some reason and I have no idea why.

I've gone ahead and removed links to my site from my profile and signature. I don't want people to think I'm posting on here just to get hits to it. That's not my intent at all. Also, Mosso is the hosting company, not the software (obviously) and I never meant to have it appear as such.

I know that there's nothing I can really do to correct the past error but I'd hope that rectifying the error can at least show my good intentions.

There is no obligation to link back from your blog to b2evolution, in any way shape or form. The software is released under GPL, so you can pretty much do as you see fit.

However, as EdB says, it's a smidge disheartening when you read forum posts from somebody that requires help, but they obviously have enough knowledge to remove all evo links from a template. We don't get paid to play on here and answer your questions, and we get paid even less to develop the software that you use ... even a simple text link is cool huh? ;)

All that aside, we'd need some form of admin login so we can "see" your problem ... chances are that you want to send that in PM ( send it to EdB, he's awake next .... but put the evo link in first though huh ;) )

Yabba,

It was just an oversite on my part and it's been rectified. I've readded the link back to b2evo at the bottom with the graphic. It honestly was just a mistake on my part and I had meant to fix it but had gotten busy with other stuff and forgot.

As for my original question, it seems to have fixed itself somehow. I really don't know what changed though. I thought it might have been a time issue but I set it for earlier in the day and it still wasn't showing up. I checked this morning and it was on the front page like it should have been. All I did was disable anti-spam to try and see if that fixed it but it had no effect so I re-enabled it before going to sleep.

I'm guessing it was just one of those weird "glitches" in the Matrix. :-p

Glad to hear your problem is solved. From what I saw of your skin though, a text-link to evo would fit better ;)

The image link I thought would standout more and was a quick one I found in another skin (copy/paste is my friend).

I changed it to use text links for both and it does look better.

Thanks for the advice!

This may sound horribly stupid, but how will people see my blog? Will it show up in google searches? Do I have to list it someplace? Or do I have to publish the exact url someplace. I am rollling my eyes that this is so silly, but I don't know the answer.
