My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Hi all, I was just reading the docs and found this

When you edit any of the config files, be careful not to add any extra blank lines at the start or end of the file. For some very tricky reasons, this will cause your cookies to fail where needed in the app, and you won't know why.
See also FAQ#"Cannot modify header information".

wouldn't the leaving blank spaces on the bottom of the config pages be remedied by just omitting the closing php tag?

Nope. Cuz then php won't know it is done so the next file that starts with <?php will be problematic because php will say "what kind of stuff is this" even though that's the stuff that brings it to life. More or less. I think.

Most if not all files in CVS are ended by a large commentary block for the revision updates. I don't think that will work without the closing PHP tag.
If you want to omit them on your blog feel free to do so.

Good luck
