My b2evolution Version: 2.x

When I make a new post, on my blog, why don't I get spaces after commas or periods? I type them, but they don't show up. I've tried both using <p> and </p> and leaving those of and starting new lines just by pressing ENTER as I type, both ways I get no spaces. Do I really have to enter %20 after every punctuation mark to get a space? I get spaces between words...

No you dont.P:

I assume you are using wysiwyg editor while entering post.i hate those wysgiwysgusyg editors, they may be buggy sometimes. If not, i am out of suggestions for now (:

I'm just using the expert editor in the dashboard. I assume it's a wysiwyg based on the fact that I don't need to enter the <p>'s, but does that default to no spaces between punctuation even if you enter them?

nope.moreover if you have auto p's enabled, i assume you do, unless you disabled it on purpose; you will have your ENTER's turned into br and double ENTERs into p's.i just thought you were writing in wysiwyg mode instead of html mode. You say you are not, well, than as i said i am out of ideas for now, it does not make any sense to me

I'm also stuck with this one.
The post in the GuestBook section seems to render fine to me.
I would change the font family, but that's personal.

John and tilqi - You both seem to think the posts are rendering fine, and after I checked a couple of random recently updated blogs from the home page, I believe they're working as they normally do.

However, if you place your mouse pointer just to the left of the first letter of a new sentence and you SLOWLY drag it left over the previous sentence, once you've highlighted one character, you've already got the period. I'm hitting the space bar twice after periods and once after commas, but the space after them is the same in the post and the posts of about 5 other different blogs.

I'd prefer to have the 2 spaces after a period. To me, that makes each paragraph much more readable.

Let me know if you still don't follow what I'm saying, maybe I'm just explaining it poorly...

maybe that or maybe we can't relate to the problem as we never had such. You may create a new user with posting ability and pm one of us so we could experience the problem and see if we can do anything.Good luck.

Yeah the two-space thing got killed by a lazy internet. I've toned down my absolute hatred of the missing second space to a 'completely disgusted' but that doesn't help you.

The lack of spaces after each punctuation item, which really seems to be "really thin" spaces, is coming from your skin's style sheet. How do I know this? http://www.pinkribbonsforjen.com/index.php/jen/2009/06/08/about-our-battle-1?tempskin=custom has spaces :)

You should look at your xhtml validation errors and see how many can be easily corrected only because that is a good thing to do when troubleshooting this type of problem. Then go after your css validation errors and you might find happiness at the end of your editor. Maybe! Maybe not, but for sure changing the skin makes the spaces after periods seem more normal, so for sure the answer lies in that direction.
