[2.x] Asynchronous outbound pings & email notifications

My b2evolution Version: 2.x

Hi

I am looking into a potential issue with the twitter plugin where it has been reported not to work with asynchronous pings. I thought I would test this out on my blog and see that the asynchronous pings work by being invoked by the scheduler. I am struggling to see how to set up the scheduler to send the outbound pings and emails.

I thought there would be a job type to send the outbound pings but I can't find one. I only have - 'Basic test job', 'Error test job', 'Poll the antispam blacklist' and 'Prune old hits and sessions'.

Have I missed something?

try -> make post -> admin > tools > urm ... whatever tab it is ... bound to be an unimaginative title > show outstanding jobs

Pretty sure pings are auto added ;)

Man of few words :-)

I'm afraid that a cron job wasn't part of the test. Just clicking on the helpful link that says [Execute pending jobs in a popup window now!] :-)
