what version? In 3.x there is.

I did not find how to order categories in 3.x.
Could someone take a screen of the dashboard showing how I can order the categories ?

admin > global settings > some obscure tab > tick "order by number"

then meander over to admin > blog settings > [blog] > categories

while( !bored )
{
  click category > type in number > click save;
  wait();
}

Global Settings - Features

Setting the ordering to manual in 3.3.1 activates an "Order" column under Blog Settings -> Categories, but every cell is blank. Should there be controls here to modify the order?

Edit: Scratch that. Missed the "Order" field when actually editing the category.

ICQ, AIM, MSN IM, YahooIM and Mandatory Avatars have more value than ordering cats? And I thought I was a tough audience ... :roll:

Agreed they're pretty pointless settings but they work on "filled in yes/no".

That one says "should I listen to numbers that people type in? or should I ignore the numbers", when all it has to do is STFU and see if there are any numbers to listen to and, if there is, then listen to them ;)

My apologies for raising the dead, but is there a simple way of achieving a given linkblog category order under a 2.x blog?
