I think the folder is called: "install" You always have the option of downloading the b2evolution packages from this site if you ever delete afile that you shouldn't have. All the stuff you write and settings are stored in the database so that's the important thing to back up. the conf\_basic_config.php file has the connection info but other than that. everything else is deletable (if you wish) skins folder has the skins that you can use so don't delete the one you're using.
