Upgrade is a totall MESS!

I just used Fantastico to upgrade to version 0.9.0.10 and now it's completly multiliated my whole site.

I managed to get index.php showing instead of the "default.php", but now there are a bunch of things not working.

1. from the index page, my skin quit working completley and I can't even get it to show a skin at all.

2.Links are completley wrong:
I try clicking on the admin link and I get this:
http://davidcentral.net/#http%3A%2F%2F(%5B%5E%3A%2F%5D%2B)%23%2Fadmin%2Fb2edit.php%3Fblog%3D2
and nothing happens at all.

3. Since I know the admin URL I was able to get in the admin area using the URL http://davidcentral.net/admin/b2edit.php

BUT once inside the admin area, I try to "exit to blogs" and I get this:
http://davidcentral.net/admin/b2edit.php#http%3A%2F%2F(%5B%5E%3A%2F%5D%2B)%23
and nothing ever happens. It doesn't exit to the blogs or anything.
then when I click logout I get this:
http://davidcentral.net/admin/b2edit.php#http%3A%2F%2F(%5B%5E%3A%2F%5D%2B)%23%2Fhtsrv%2Flogin.php%3Faction%3Dlogout
and of course nothing happens, doesn't log me out or anything.

Can anyone help me out here?

Have you gone through the config files manually and checked the settings? I personally don't trust fantastico has far as I can throw it...

Hi Graham, I just went ahead and did a fresh install. Only problem now is I can't get my posts and comments from a backup sql file into the database without breaking it. Is this possible?

If I can just save those 2 things, I'd be happy.

Using fantastico, no there isn't. First, make sure that your backup works with the version of b2evo that it is supposed to. The next step will depend on your hosting set up. Most people have phpmyadmin, so I'll assume you've got it.

Empty the b2evolution database (after making another backup), then click on SQL, and upload your file. It should populate the db with your backed up data.

Then just run the install script, select upgrade, and bob's your uncle.
