My b2evolution Version: 2.x
v 2.4.1....i have to learn how to add the latest update.....I am very green here. I have been writing, but I don't understand the ins and outs of the blog, so I am going to ask straight up.
I uploaded an image but how do I link it into a blog I write? I clicked the image button and added the absolute url of the image when I uploaded it through b2.
What am I doing wrong?

I cannot really remember how it was in 2.4.1 (Upgrade! It is really as simple as they say!), but I'll try to give it a shot (with reservation for maybe have misunderstood your issue):
I normally upload the files by using the file browser. Then I create the post and click on "Add/Link files" to open the filebrowser. I then check the picture I want to add to the post and then selects "With selected files: Insert IMG/link into post".
Then you won't have to manually enter the absolute URL of the pic, b2evo is doing that for you.
