My b2evolution Version: 2.x

Has anyone purchased and used the Joomla bridge and would like to share their experiences? I'm developing a site for an organisation using Joomla, but the blog components they have are terrible, and I decided to use b2evo for the blog area of this site. I'd like to purchase the bridge, but the description and info is really small, and I have no idea what the bridge actually does:

Does it allow you to login from b2evo without having to re-login to Joomla and vice versa?
Does it allow Joomla members to comment on the b2evo blog using their Joomla profile and not the b2evo profile (or vice versa I suppose)?
Etc.

I have tried contacting the person who sells the bridge, but after several weeks haven't received a reply and can't seem to even be able to create a login at their site to access their forums.

Any help much appreciated!
