How do I move my blog from one server to another?

Hello All,

I'm in the midst of that most pleasant experience...switching hosting companies.

I use b2Evolution version 2.4.1, please PM for the URL.

I am transferring my my phpbb forum, and now I want to transfer the blog.

Here's what I have done so far:

Duplicated the blog database
Had it installed on my server (I can see it in phpMyAdmin)
Copied all the blog files and uploaded them to the new site

With phpbb I have to modify the config.php file to access the database. I assume some similar procedure is in order to move the blog.

What must be done next? Have I left anything out?

Thanks in advance for your help. This has been nothing short of a monolithic task, but I feel as though I am on the right track and can handle it.

you dont have to modify your config file unless you have changed your db_name or db_user or db_password

The database location is different on my new host than it was on the previous host. Which file would I need to change that?

The file I needed to change was _basic_config.php

I entered the new database location, and voila!
