I get something similar. Everything looks fine except the 2nd line for me. What's this remote error about??

Almost a year later and still the same types of errors. The latest says:

* Pinging b2evolution.net...
* Remote error: XML error: Invalid character at line 24, column 62 (109)
* Pinging Ping-O-Matic...
* Response: [] [Pings being forwarded to 11 services!]
* Pinging twitter.com...
* Posted to account: @Nixon_VS

Any idea at all what this is about?

I am getting the same error "Remote error: Connect error: Permission denied (13) (5)" whenever I try to make changes, or post. if this is an error on B2evo side, why hasnt it been fixed yet. also, i changed hosts and didnt have a problem with Fatcow.com. this new hosting is probably the issue

@wells1 please enable the debug mode and tell us if you get more information besides of the "Remote error: ..." that you mentioned?

@wells1 Who is your new host?

Maybe they do not allow you to ping out from your server. (which is a limitation some web hosts have).
