[2.x] Sticky announcement error

My b2evolution Version: 2.x

Hi I uploaded the Sticky Announcement to the plugin folder then installed it, but get this error

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_by_name() on a non-object in /home/188766/public_html/plugins/stickyannouncements_plugin/_stickyannouncements.plugin.php on line 144

Any solutions available or did I miss an installation step?

Hello, I am unable to find the 'sticky note' function on my blog site. Could you please tell me how to activate it or how to load it - I have gone through every tab and can't find how to turn it on or load it. Cheers, Megan

If you are using b2evo 3 or 4 you can create featured or intro posts which will stay "on top" of the other posts.

When you create a post on Expert tab, either select the type that starts with "Intro-" or check the "Featured post" box below the categories list.
