My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

finally got around to upgrade the old 2 point something to 3.3.3

always been a believer in if it isn't broken don't fix it!

all went well (I think) but, have found an issue in file management

write a new blog post, save and go to add/link files and I see

The directory «shared/global/» does not exist.

as an error, the existing files are all there but the upload tab is blank

did I miss something?
