Problems with new wamp server

My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

I have tried multiple versions of wamp server from 2.1a to 2.1e with several b2 versions including latest 4.0.3 and 3.3.3 and in all cases, the installation fails to complete.

The new wamp server is shipped with:

Apache 2.2.17
Php 5.3.4
Mysql 5.1.53
PhpMyadmin 3.2.0.1
SQLBuddy 1.3.2
XDebug 2.1.0-5.3
webGrind 1.0
XDC 1.5

Don't know where the problem lays, but i hope it is a wamp specific issue and does not reflect when we upgrade our apache & php versions on our production servers

I just installed WampServer 2.1e on Vista 32-bit:

Apache 2.2.17
PHP 5.3.5
MySQL 5.5.8

And slammed through an install of b2evo 4.0.3 with no issues.

good to know to narrow down the source of the problem.I'm guessing it might be an 64 bit problem than.Since i have Win 7 64 bit installed.However i have tried both 64 and 32 bit versions of wamp on my machine, and both failed.

Have you done any changes to your wamp server configuration after installing ? any changes on php.ini or apache conf ?

I used to run b2evo on wamp for 2 years before I switched to xampp. What errors do you get? Enable a setting to display PHP errors, check apache logs.
