Messaging and podcasts

My b2evolution Version:

Hi,

I use b2evolution version 4.0.5.

Please let me know how to use the podcast and messaging features.

Regarding podcasts, I've read this:

But it didn't help because the dewplayer doesn't respond when I click "play" unless I attach the file (and I only want to use the url link). There's no sound at all when I use the url given by b2evolution after uploading the mp3-file.

So then I read this old post:

But there's no _mediaplayer.conf.php anywhere so I couldn't do these steps.

My questions:

1) How can I make dewplayer/podcast work using only the url?

2) As mentioned, I can't use the messaging feature either because I get the message that I'm not allowed to write to the chosen user (a test user of mine). How can I make the messaging feature work?

as far as i remember, you dont need to attach and enter the url of the mp3 file.

It would be enough if you just upload your mp3 file and enter the link in the url field right below the title.

Thank you so much for fixing the first issue, tilqicom! The podcast works that way. The link provided automatically by b2evolution turned out to be wrong.

But:

1) why does the music stop in the middle of the song where the white line is placed in dewplayer? Can this be avoided?

2) And if anyone can help me use the messaging feature too, I'd be very happy :D

i never actually used that messaging , nor the podcast.But i have tried the latter once, so thats all i know, wont be able to help you further.good luck
