Hi Everyone:

Upgrading from 2.4.2 to 4.0.5. I've had a difficult time with b2evo with no installers (disasters in 3x versions) or with WAMP with a lot of wasted time and have decided to upload everything to the host site using 4.0.5. This site has been down for a week and it needs to go back up. I've reconfigured all the files as suggested. [There are currently 3 blogs outside of the blog folder that as been this way for sometime -- why this happened, who knows! Don't know how it will work until the blog is running. This will need to be fixed or rename them as blog# and put back in the right directory?]

I'm uploading all files onto the host LIVE. Before I start with the Installer, can I put b2evolution outside of the domain name and run it? If I do this can the DB still be called, because everything is configured in _basic_config.php. I need simple and detailed instructions if this is wrong.

I cannot handle a lot of complicated instructions - my brains feel fried. It would be nice in future upgrades for those of us who aren't competent in WAMP/XAMPP if there was a cover page (hiding index.php) until the entire operation is ready to go live without the bugs. Or, to have some kind of internal installer like forums that is very easy to work with.

Please let me know.... I'd like to complete this ASAP!!
