My b2evolution Version: 4.1.x

I have taken a skin whose format I like and changed the colors and all the images. Should I give any credit to the creator of the original skin? To the coder? I try hard not to fuss with the css and php, other than color and image change, because I don't understand them well enough to fix if I mess up. I don't want to infringe on anyone else's rights, but I did create my images from scratch and I'd like the footer info to reflect that and not someone else's work.
