My b2evolution Version: 4.1.x

I took my old skin and merely changed the images, but it's not working. I had it working fine, but went in to tweak something and after that it stopped working. Then I started fresh by copying the original, still working, file and putting in the new images. Nothing is different at this point except the actual images. I purposely kept the php and css the same. Shouldn't it produce the same layout?

The sidebars are now below the posts.

The /div> up in the left top corner is in my original skin, but I'm afraid to try and fix it for fear that I will lose that skin also.

If this is due to outdated css and/or php how do I update it? (I'm using the most current b2 version and my original skin is the main/default page template for the "custom" skin, tweaked with one of the 2 sidebar skins from a few versions back.)
