[4.1.x] Messaging Doesn't Fully Work

My b2evolution Version: 4.1.x

Hi Again,

A blogger and I discovered that Messaging within the blogs doesn't work well.

Composing a message works fine; no notice, however, is sent out via email to recipient(s). If a blogger isn't on every day or week (most aren't) they wouldn't know if a PM was sent to them. Notification of messages is ticked off... so, this should work, right? :-/ Similar to the forum PM notifications?

In the top menu bar there is a Message indicator that seems to work.

Please enable messages for admin2 and send a couple so I can check them.

I'm using 4.1.4 and have the same issue as the poster. Just discovered that there is no way a person can subscribe to a blog when new posts are published even though the feature is ticked off. Is there a way that I can fix this?
