Yes, I get this error always. I hoped that it would disappear with an upgrade from 4.1.1 to 4.1.4 but that doesn't fix it.
May be, but I am unsure, the error may be caused by my trial to use "check for updates".
So I can't use e.g. Antispam or get that message at system status and as error message by news of b2evolution.

I found out, but did not know whether this error is connected with the discussed, that in MySQL global_cache there had been very old entries, from version 2.9 ... I emptied out that table. But this did not solve the problem.

Seems that my b2evo is not admitted to enter b2evolution.
Maybe you have an idea to fix this
(Since 4.1.4 the spam comments have exploded and therefore I urgently need antispam functionality.
