There's an option in webmaster like "Change domain" or similar. If you won't change link structure google will save your ranking and properly reindex all pages.

On the leaving domain add a 301 .htaccess redirect. Redirect the whole domain, not individual pages.

I have some experience in this matter. You must be patient, it may take some time for G to apply the changes, a few days at least.
