1. Blocking comments on old posts. Most of the comment spam I'm currently getting is on month-old or older posts. Anyone know an easy way to disallow comments for posts older than a certain date/time?
2. Blocking spammers by IP as well as by domain name.
I did do a few searches before I posted this, but please point me to previous discussions on these topics if they exist.
I don't have time to search right now, but edB has the comment thing going on his site (wonderwinds.com), and you can block spammers by IP using .htaccess, or you can do what I wrote about in a post on my site, which covers the main anti spam measures I use.
