What I would like to do is write up my posts in advance and when the software auto updates it at the time specified is ping the service then...not when I save it.

Is this possible?

It seems as though whenever I save the post it automatically pings right then.
And if I write 2-3 posts that I want to set up to update at different intervals then they are all pretty much pinging immediately after I save them and some services won't allow you to ping their sites so quickly and therefore there is a lot of valuable traffic being lost.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
