New install is dating posts incorrectly.

I just installed b2 and made a post. The date of the post came up 15 July 2004, one day and one year early. When I modified the date on the post, it went away since I presume, the day does not yet exist to the blog.
Any clues would help. I searched the admin to find a place to correct the date but can only find a place to adjust sever time versus actual time.

It gets the time and date from your server. If you run the server yourself, then set the time and date. If not, contact your webhost.

To answer your other question, about changing the date on a post, go to
Backoffice (/blogs/admin or whatever)
Edit Tab (to show list of posts in backoffice)
click on Edit button near a post
Check "Modify Date" checkbox
CHange the date.
Click save.
