Question by a new user: I have set 10 posts per page, but in my monthly and category archive all posts are shown on one single page. How can I change this so that only 10 posts are shown per page?
Edit the day after: I've found out how to limit the number of posts per page in the category archive - you can change it in the _arcdir.php - file in the skins directory. But how can I limit the number of posts per page in the monthly archive?

Not possible? Or is it possible to show the title of the posts only? I searched the files in the skin-folder but found no way to modify the layout of the archive-page.
There are often 50+entries per month and the pageload is around 200kb which is a bit to much
