I have downloaded B2 to my server and I am totally lost. My past history has been with Dreamweaver and have no idea what I am doing. (I'm being honest) Can someone recommend a book or person who can assist me with this new adventure.
You mean b2evolution right? b2 is a long-dead ancestor of b2evolution. Assuming you're on the right software: Did you install the latest version? Hope so! Did you install the xml-rpc patch? Hope so! Have you created a database and run YOUR_BASE_URL/install yet? If you've gotten that far then just read through the sample posts that come with the installation.
Oh by the way if you noticed after running the install thing it gave you a random password for username 'admin'. If you didn't notice then just tell it you are 'admin' and you lost your password - it will email you a new one.
Anyway most of the posts are designed to help you understand how to use b2evolution with text and examples. Read through them, then visit your back office (the admin link) and try editing a post. Just change it to 'deprecated' so it won't show on your blog but will be available for your review. You could also change them to 'private' so that ONLY logged in members of your blog can see them, but that'll look wierd until you're used to how b2evolution shows different stuff to different people.

Also check out some of the posts in these forums. Particularly the Installation Support and General b2evolution questions forums. Lots of stuff in there, and maybe it's not all good for you, but I'm sure bunches of it will help. There is also =91]Getting Started and =92]How-To sections in the manual. These may also prove to be good resources for you. b2evolution is not the easiest blogging app out there, but it's wicked powerful and therefore has a bit of a learning curve. Give it some time and you'll see it's pretty easy to get 'er going.
