Hello is there any way to enable Search engine Optimization in IIS Without a Url Rewrite Filter installed for B2evolution....... for Joomla (Mambo) someone has worked out a solution Here http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,1094.0.html is it possible in B2evolution .??? (I am not much of a Coder)

I need to see if it possible cos
1. Cant install a External rewrite filter cause its on a webhost they are not willing to do it.
2. I paid for a IIS account already
3. I not a great programmer .. (Too bad wish i was) though i have a basic idea ...

Thats why i gave that link http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,1094.0.html
Because some here has found a solution to this problem except its for Joomla(Mambo) CMS so if some can give me the hack I'll be grateful

SEO is covered pretty deeply in this thread. SEF is different, and probably should be called PF for people-friendly since search engines really don't care what a URL looks like, but there is a back office setting that makes your URLs look nice. Check the "Use extra-path info" box and select the "Post called up by its URL title (Recommended)" radio button. Also you would probably want to use stub files so you gets words instead of params for the blog detail.

It's possible there are other methods floating around the forums, but these are the things that come to mind quickly.

Hmmm... I wonder if your server will support the extra-path thing? One way to find out!!!

Re-hmmm... I always have this feeling in the back of my mind that I've got a really old hack that helps prettify links in certain situations. Something about a comment in one of my files that says "hack from the forums but I forget why I did it". What an odd note to say to myself.

In fact, search engines do care what a URL looks like. Try to find "wonderwinds" (all attached) in Google and you're going to see that keyword highlighted into the given URL. Search engines can even search for specific keywords in the URL itself!

Anyway, you probably fully answered to the original question.
