I too have gotten swamped by the same spammers all day and had hoped someone here had a nice solution to ban any referrers from these wwwboard sites.

I've been getting hit by these sites too. I'm trying to not report since I'm now an admin, figuring I'd rather not have a bias and publish the things *I* report, but I'm tired of these guys. Always a different URL, and almost always containing "wwwboard/messages". Problem is I'm now seeing variants on that theme, meaning banning that exact string will only help - and might concievably shut down a real site.
Locally, BAN and DELETE and REPORT. We'll have to figure it out later. Check it out: if you want to ban "wwwboard/messages" then do it!
We don't want to accidentally ban real sites, but the whole idea is to help people not get spam attacks. Report what works for you and we'll figure out what we can do from the inside. Heck, I'm like seconds away from changing my new policy. I'll just ban each domain and sort out the end result later on.
I *hate* spammers and every stinking trick they come up with to push thier crap on us.

Oh and PLEASE update your antispam list before you start banning the bad guys. Click the link several times - until you get only one response that is "not needed - already handled". That way if you ban a site already in your list it won't be reported as a new spammer. Just helps us on the inside is all.

Update NOW. I just added wwwboard/messages to the list. If it has to come off later then that's my mistake to add it, but there are a heck of a lot of reports from a lot of users matching variations on the same substring.
I hate spammers >:-<
It's probably not the *best* place, but don't sweat it.
I checked a few of the links you showed and have a hard time considering them "legit" sites with spammed boards. Personally I think they're all a crock trying to trick the people they're spamming into thinking, well, like you did. Happened before. Sites started spamming you with a page that had a fake "this domain has been suspended due to violating our TOS" page. People bought it and didn't block them, and eventually the sites became what they intended all along.
Speaking as a new antispam administrator who is SWAMPED by what goes on behind the scenes: Ban, Delete, and Report Them! We'll figure out what to do as time goes on. Something that gets enough reports as being a spammer will get added. Something that appears to be targetting a specific web won't. That's happened to by the way, and the victim just kept reporting.
No worries! We've only got about 45,000 different reports to filter through 8|
