- bandwidth is getting killed by spammers

I have used the ban feature extensively and I am receiving considerably less referral spam from abusave companies but they are still hitting my page like a tornado. I am up to 3000+ hits per hour. No one is leaving comments and the referrals have dropped down to about 50 per day.. but damn... with the adult companies still hitting it is really draining my resourses.
I know absolutely nothing about PHP or CSS so I am in no position to edit these files. Is there a plug-in , download or something to give the banned companies a 404 message or something similar?
If this continues I will have no choice but to bring the blog down and I really don't want to do that. I love my blog even though it looks like something the cat made ;)
Just to give you an idea of what is happening I copied this from my stats screen from the web host:
Host: 200.60.58.230
/aimblog/index.php
Http Code: 200 Date: Nov 08 09:21:37 Http Version: HTTP/1.0 Size in Bytes: 37371
Referer: http://incest-sex.ly2.com/
Host: 203.147.0.48
/aimblog/index.php
Http Code: 200 Date: Nov 08 09:21:29 Http Version: HTTP/1.1 Size in Bytes: 41369
Referer: http://rape-videos.ql.st/
The Http code 200 means that they can see the blog even after i have banned them. They can't refer or leave coments but damn... I don't want them there at all!!!!
I feel that I am about to throw in the towel....
:(
Upgrade to the current version, 0.9.1. It gives spammers a 404 and it has other performance improvements, too. Then keep your blacklist up to date. This hack can help:
