Using 1.6 alpha
When I subscribe myself to articles in my blog, I do get a notification, but also for articles published in the future.
Since I mostly write articles in the future, that is not what I want !
I also noticed that the whote article is written in the mail people get.
If your are using bullet lists, then it's not pretty.

It is the same anoying thing as pinging sites the moment you are posting an article, even if it's with a future date.
But at this time, the site is writing to humans...

Thanks for reporting.. it's probably an architectural problem and would require a task scheduler (where we already have the major specs).

Yes, this idea (using a hit on the page to see if there are pending tasks) would be used as a fallback method, if someone cannot set up cron or a ping service to "execute" the b2evo-cron-task-scheduler script.

I had a thought on this subject that might be good. Initially a future-based post is saved as a draft (or maybe a 'publish future'). Then when the cron or hit-moment happens it becomes a real 'published' post. That way pinging the pings would also happen at the appropriate time.

Good idea, EdB, but not implementation-wise: currently pings and notifications get only done, if you update a post in the backoffice.

I think it's easier to use the date and "pingsdone", "notificationssent" flags.

Something to do with notifications, but perhaps not with this treath

Is there (in CVS) a page with an overview of the subscriptions per blog ?

In 1.6 I have to look into the database itself...

No, there's no list of subscriptions per blog yet.
