I would like to try turning off the <p> in posts. I am having trouble with validating pages because of conflicts with the <p> in posts.

Has anyone tried this?

Thanks,

Jeff

When you're writing a post, look in the lower left, under Renderers. Uncheck the box that says "Auto P". If that does what you want I can tell you how to make it unchecked by default so you don't have to do that every time you post.

Thanks! If it was a snake it would have bitten me. I'll ask you later how to do that permanently.

Cheers

There is a way to do it permanently, I did it with GM because it was messing up some of my older posts for some reason (and I didn't feel like going through years of posts, hitting edit, unchecking GM, and saving). :D

I went to plugins/renderers/_gmcode.renderer.php

and changed var $apply_when = 'opt-out'; to var $apply_when = 'opt-in';... I'm pretty sure you would just go to the _auto_p.renderer.php file and change that line in able to disable it so you won't have to always remember to uncheck it. :D Just change the out to in ;)
