I tried posting a table and got this:

Invalid post, please correct these errors:
Tag <table> may not have attribute style

I disabled the validator, posted the table with the style attrib and checked the page for xhtml 1.0 trans, 1.0 strict and 1.1. The table didn't cause errors with any of those doctypes.

I know I've seen this before with other tags. Is style an attribute that is allowed for all tags? I'm using the 1.8 snapshot that I downloaded this morning (April 21).
