It is a default beaviour of b2evo to strip out HTML for security reasons unless the developper explicitely allow HTML input.

I'm not sure right now where it's to be configured, but if you have specified your setting as a 'string' somewhere, try 'html' instead. If you can't set this anywhere, try asking blueyed about it. He will definitely know where the setting is to be changed.

Do you know of a way in which I can allow html for settings, I need to be able to use text and textarea inputs for them?

If not then I can move them to the tools tab instead.
