Hi,
I'd be very grateful if I could get some expertise with regards to a referer misrepresenting my statistics. I cannot ban the referer as it is not referer spam and, more importantly, the referer is my website!
I'll explain:
My B2evolution install is on
http://www.TheRichestManInAtherstone.co.uk/
However as users browse the website, the links use the format
http://TheRichestManInAtherstone.co.uk/
The result is that in the admin console, under the 'Stats' tab I have a large number of referers recorded as being from the latter URL.
I would prefer that the stats only recorded referals from external websites. I use B2Evolution v 0.9.0.12.
Does that make sense? If so, please could someone advise me how to resolve this? If not, I'll be only too happy to clarify anything that doesn't make sense.
Thank you in advance,
Arkad
In your conf/_basic_config.php file change your $baseurl setting so that it has the www in it. That oughta do, although then search engines will send traffic to the non-www version for a while. Until their caches reflect the change.
