Self explanatory, have some extra field in the plugin called $render_for_comments or something.

I would really really really like this to be added, and i will do it if need be.

FilterCommentContent is not really a renderer.. it's more like the DisplayItemAsX events.

If renderer get implemented for Comments, like it's done for items, you would have
RenderCommentAsHtml, RenderCommentAsText and RenderCommentAsXml, plus the DisplayCommentAsX hooks.

Yes, balupton, feel free to implement comment rendering in CVS.
