URL issue: 'param' versus 'extra-path' for Single post URLs

What is wrong with my setup if in a blog everything works well as long as i choose for Single-postURLs one of the two param-options (post ID or post title) but does not want work with 'Use extra-path: year, month & day'?
As soon as i take this extra-path option, i end up with 'Intermal Server Error' as below. What would i have to check for?


Internaler Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hello @ramadama,

Did you check the error logs in your server? Did you customized the blogs/.htaccess file? If affirmative, could you share its content?

That should give you some pointers to solve the problem.

Almost forgot to report / respond to this: Without having made any further changes, it worked in the morning. And I can not check error logs for more details as i would have had to activate error log mode before.
