Hi everybody,

I have just started using b2evolution so limited experience here! I tried few hours ago to rename the sub-URLs of my webpage in order to make them shorter and easier to remember. So I did (as admin) the following change:
http://<mydomainname.org>/web/blog1.php to http://<mydomainname.org>/<somename1>/
http://<mydomainname.org>/web/blog2.php to http://<mydomainname.org>/<somename2>/
http://<mydomainname.org>/web/blog3.php to http://<mydomainname.org>/<somename3>/

I didn't append the .php suffix to the renamed URLs because I was prompted by the b2evolution manager to use either ".php" or "/". So, I chose the latter. After that the webpage became completely unavailable and when I type the domain on a web browser I am redirected to
http://redirect.main-hosting.com/error404.php/7?domain=<mydomainname.org>;

How can I resolve that or even reset the whole page and start over?

It's kinda urgent - thanks in advance!

Hi @mtsat06,

Did you include the right index.php file into each <somenameX> folder?

Please be sure to have read this: http://b2evolution.net/man/advanced-customization/customization-how-to/how_to_call_a_blog_from_a_subdirectory ( Special attention at the section Using several different subfolders )

This manual page ( and its references at the end of the page ) could also be useful: http://b2evolution.net/man/back-office-reference/managing-collections/url-seo-settings/blog-url-settings

If after reading and testing extensively, your site is still crashed, maybe you should update your database "by hand" NOT RECOMENDED. Come back to us before to give you some tips.

Regards.
