Excuse me for asking such a question, and sorry if I have posted this twice. I have software I use to design a web site, and I am confused about what a "widget" is. My software indicates that it is a placeholder that you can put some sort of content. I can insert a blog and then configure it. The software company provides a special area on their web site you use to set one up. My internet provider says that you receive some html code that you link a placeholder to.
Is this what b2evolution providing and I just don't understand how to use it, or am I in the wrong place for what I want to do?
b2evolution is a website engine, so you can create blogs and many other kind of websites as well by installing it in a web hosting account. As a content manager, b2evolution has its own widgets manager, and this is what we consider a widget is: http://b2evolution.net/man/widget.
As far as I undertsand, this is not exactly what are you looking for, because instead of that, you're mentioning to include your content in someone's else page widgets.
I suggest you to take a look at this page: http://b2evolution.net/man/overview-of-the-software and navigate through the "Introduction" section of the manual and come back here if there is something that you still don't understand.
Regards!
