XML-RPC

This API doesn't work properly on this server. Error: Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized)

What does xmlrpc.php do? I expected this to not fail.

This error appears on the "System" page
It doesn't appear in the error log
It is not shown when debug is set to "on"
I can't find a place where it cause something to fail.

I don't even know where to start looking.

Just to say typing [xml-rpc] into the search box in the documentation does bring up that page.

Saying that it's strange how many times I don't look or don't find things, when often they are there ???? :)

@amoun, thanks for all your help! Both you and @fplanque have been terrifically helpful. This inability to find things occurs far to often for me. I know I have been a pain. Luckily for all, this was the last error in my install on the new a2hosting.
