Is there an easy way to switch off the b2e-included colorbox application and use instead an external version with different/modified behaviour, which we use already in another website?

If i get it right, the colorbox application is part of b2e core and it is not meant that you apply different versions of colorbox with different skins. Newer skins seem to allow modifications of some parameters, but in general it is the same colorbox family for all collections, with more or less similar behaviour.

First a general picture handling question: I do not understand, how one could put attributes to the picture tag ? Sometimes we need pictures left, sometimes centered, text flow or no text flow. Is there an procedure getting that, which i simply missed to find so far?

Then this is colorbox-related: Caption. We often have caption in the smaller in-text picture version and it should show in the bigger show version as well. Is there a way to do it in the b2e-version? Or is it a feature, a skin would have to provide?

And a third observation, we seem to have trouble with: Elastic Transition is not working. Once we have a bigger pic in the show-mode, the background of pic (white) against the general dark background keeps the bigger pic size although the new picture shown is smaller.

Maybe i have not searched long enough in the manual/forum, but would be grateful for some guidance here.

Thank you.

ps: i think it does not matter, but maybe better to mention: Skins tested are business and a pixel green-derivat

The colorbox can be switched off in the skin settings of every skin that uses it.
You can make a custom skin that uses a different script.

If you want to move around your images, you probably want to use [thumbnail:] : https://b2evolution.net/man/thumbnail-short-tag

That is by design. We don't want the position of the nav buttons to change all the time.

fantastic! and thanks a lot for this hint. i did not expect that in this old skin one has the option to switch colorbox stuff and did not search for solution there.

okay, i switched colorbox off for test purpose and integrated the colorbox plugin downloaded from http://www.jacklmoore.com/colorbox/ ... it does work - unfortunately ONLY as long as i am LOGGED IN to the backoffice.

What makes the difference, why is it not working for not logged in users?

And pls could you comment the caption-question/problem: Should the incorporated script do the caption thing (and do i miss code on my side), or is it by design disabled?

If there is a way to include it in future code, maybe you could offer a selector for people to choose Elastic Transition either ON or OFF. In our case, we prefer on, regardless nav buttons moving position.

I don't know for the caption. This would require digging into the code. I don't have enough time, sorry.
