No I haven't. As I created this, there this feature didn't exist. As many others too.
Meta-Category would solve this thing? And I can create more than one blogroll in the sidebar of one blog as I have at the moment ( http://blogs.ednong.de/ )? Then I will give it a try.
There are a lot of new and really good things - but it is not documented at the moment. Like the post type in "Write a new post" - so I (and I think other users too) am using only the "post" type.
You are a cute developer - but if the "normal" ppl don't know about it, they will not use. May be I have only oversee the documentation, then I will happy for a link to it.

@ednong well, the issue reported here: http://forums.b2evolution.net/5-1-2-i-don-t-get-the and already solved, was related with categories being displayed more than once in the widget.
I updated the gist basing the workaround in version 6.5.0. You can find it here: https://gist.github.com/mgsolipa/c416d40fd585aeef47ff
@fplanque do you think it makes sense to push this modification into the core (changing 'defaultvalue' to true at line 163) ? It basically let the user decide if a link should be added to the categories names.

@mgsolipa I did not read all your source code, but yes, I guess we can add a setting to decide if categories should have links or not.
just a thought: have you tried using meta-categories?
