This is a very odd question. Several months ago, I had to switch to a new host. A friend of mine has his own server he hosts other friend's sites on, so I transfered everything over. However, before he could get the database set up for me, he got sick and is still going through treatments. So, I had the idea to just copy everything over to my other host as a temporary measure. When I do so, it still forwards to the old address and I need to find out how to change it. I thought I could maybe rerun the installation process, but I don't know which version I'm on since it's been a while. I need to get it running where it's loaded now before I can upgrade. So, is there a place in one of the config files that takes care of that? I've already changed the _basic_config file, with no luck.

Hi @dubird,

When you said this:

When I do so, it still forwards to the old address and I need to find out how to change it.

Did you mean that your domain is still directed to your friend's server and you need it to go to your old server?

If yes, maybe the problem is related with the DNS configuration of your domain. You should ask for help to the support of the company who sold you that domain. Please let's clarify that point in order to give you a more specific help and do not mess you with links and explanations that are not applicable in your situation.

Thanks.

Ok, I believe it was the DNS. I had this long post typed out trying to explain myself better, and when I checked it to see exactly where it was going, it worked. Thank you anyways!
