@amoun yes, it's correct. When the user is in single or page displays (and has edition permissions), the available option in the evobar is the Edit post button. In any other display (and if the user has post creation permissions), the available option is the New post button.

So to post I have to go back to the 'main' page to post new, that seems a little bit awkward so would like the option of making a post from anywhere on the site.

It seems odd that given there are multiple options to do this and that there is not one for a new post

Just to clarify my query:
In the previous post it isn't clear than I meant there are multiple options in single and page views to do all manner of things but not one to [new post]

For example I can access all manner of [Features] but not make a new post??

The [Post] link also replicates the edit option, why not a [New Post] option there at least?

I envisage a situation where I or someone wants to use only single posts and page and not having an option to click on a link for a new post seems more that just odd but very annoying.

Am I being a pain in the arse and missing something here?

@amoun well, that makes sense.

Let me create a feature request, because maybe adding a new entry i.e.: "New post" to the Collection menu of the evobar would be justified.
